Warrior Diet - Stay Fly Muay Thai - Philadelphia
A couple of years ago, I heard bout the Warrior Diet. It's a diet based on a book by the same name, by Ori Hofmekler. The cool thing that I got from this book has mostly to do with timing your meals.
You know the feeling you get when you eat a big meal and you get sleepy afterward? Well, this book proposes that we're built to be that way. It says that all day long, we're supposed to be running around, hunting and gathering, protecting our families and getting stuff done. At the end of the day, that's when we reap the benefits of our work, or literally the fruits of our labor.
According to this diet, at the end of the day is when you should ingest most of your fuel for the next day. It claims that it performing on an empty stomach will force you to stay focused and alert, as well as more energetic.
The book goes on to talk about a bunch of ways to keep yourself from constantly feeling hungry. It talks about strategies of ways to find satiety, feeling satisfied with your food.
Lastly, the book goes on to illustrate a workout regime, which i've never put much thought into.
