My primary goal in training is to step into the ring and test my abilities against an opponent as crazy as me. Secondarily, I want to stay in the best shape while I am still. in my physical prime.
I started training Muay Thai to lose weight. I was pretty close to 300 lbs and decided one day that I needed to get healthier. Now, I train to maintain my sanity. I have a pretty stressful job as a nurse and hitting pads and getting beat up by my teammates is oddly keeping my mind in check.
I have trained in many places in my life that were centered on MMA, but Stay Fly Muay Thai was the only gym that purely focused on striking. I am a striker born and bred, so when I found this place, I instantly fell in love. Justin makes concepts easy to pick up and he will take the time to fine tune a person as both a coach and a friend. There is no pressure to compete. And everyone is incredibly helpful, whether you are brand new to Muay Thai, or if you are a professional fighter.
